Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a anchor of the morning news and as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the state authorities re-issuing an even more strict directive on these situations. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell was then employed by NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. In addition, she serves as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's reported on the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
